Creating Bird Havens In Your Landscape

October 6 @ 4:30 pm

If you’ve been wondering how to turn your farm, forest, or backyard into a bird paradise, this event is for you!

Explore successful bird-friendly projects at Hollyhock Farm and learn from an avian expert about the benefits of establishing a bird habitat.

A farm-to-table meal will be served.

Speakers:

  • Katie Garst, Avian Biologist with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Ornithology Program, where she conducts state-wide bird surveys and monitoring projects. She’ll talk about programs for bird conservation on private lands and habitat management guidelines.
  • Landowners Dottie Eddis and Lowell Hott will host the event and showcase their bird habitat projects.

Please RSVP to the organizer (below) by September 25.

PS: The event is outdoors, so be sure to dress for comfort.

This event is sponsored by the Cacapon Watershed Collaborative, a partnership of landowners, farmers, conservation organizations and agencies working together to protect the beautiful Cacapon Valley’s forests, farms, and waters.
