The Future of Agriculture – A Landowner Resource Showcase

Innovation is key to agriculture’s future. Local farmers and agricultural agency staff will showcase opportunities to boost your operation to the next level.

Join us for a farm-raised supper and hear about helpful services to local producers.

Among the speakers:

  • Phil Eash from Triple E Farms: We’re super-excited to hear all about his farming operation and what the future holds for their operation.
  • Grandin Lewis, Hampshire County Future Farmers of America (FFA) President: Will speak about current FFA activities and the future of the organization.
  • Tina Ladd of Hampshire County Convention and Visitors Bureau: Will speak about exciting developments in agritourism.
  • Emily Warner of Cacapon &Lost River Land Trust will demonstrate how land protection agreements are a sound method to ensure that land will be available for agriculture in the future.
  • Agencies presenting about programs that promote the future of agriculture: Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), West Virginia Division of Forestry (WV DOF), Cacapon & Lost Rivers Land Trust, West Virginia University-Extension, Potomac Valley Conservation District (PVCD), and the West Virginia Conservation Agency (WVCA).
